• About the Department (a brief description in about 100-150 words)    :- Separate psychiatry unit started in 1992. Psychiatry unit separated from department of internal medicine and started functioning independently since Year-2000. Currently department is having its own separate building in the M.Y. premises, which is in the process of up gradation. Department is providing in-patient, out-patient and consultation liaison services. Department is currently providing training to the under Graduate Medical students  (M.B.B.S ) Post graduates in general medicine and also around 30 Nursing and social work institutions throughout M.P. Department is running district mental Health Programme in Dewas.  Mental Hospital Indore is also under department of psychiatry.

A.I has worked as research officer in the research scheme entitled “Platelet Radioreceptior Assay of Biogenic Amines in Patients of Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia” sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (1985).

• Study of Extra Genital Actions and Drug Interactions of Estrogen in Animal and Human (2003-2004): I supervised the study of effect of Estrogen in schizophrenia as part of this study.
