WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY



INTRODUCTION

The underlying statement that Anatomy forms the foundation on which the edifice of are markable medical career is built continues to hold true even after a span of many decades. Dead still continue to teach the living as does the relevance of knowing the basic structure and organization of the human body.

With the tremendous jump of undergraduate students from 150 to 250 in each batch, the challenges to educate and train these young enthusiastic minds are manifold. However, Anatomy Department continues to reign in the heart and minds of its' students because of the commitment of its' dedicated teaching staff towards the elucidation of its prodigious content.

Likewise, the increase of PG seats from 1 to 10 per year has seen a corresponding increase in PG labs too apart from a surge in interest in a majorly academic genre.
Apart from Body donation, the Department also conducts embalming for private transportation of bodies to be taken by flight to far off places to extend its services to the public domain.

The Anatomy Department has also contributed immensely in the transliteration of Textbook of Anatomy in Hindi to facilitate the understanding of the subject.

While incorporating the newer applied aspects of the competency-based curriculum with a range of teaching aids moving on from overhead projectors to LCD displays in the newly constructed spacious Lecture Hall, the Department continues to retain the cornerstones of Blackboard teaching and Cadaveric Dissection that are testament to the inspiring teaching style of our revered teachers who were the torchbearers of medical education in our country.

Department of Anatomy proudly carries forward the illustrious legacy handed over by Dr. Ganpat Singh, Dr. DNS Choudhary, Dr. S Bose, Dr. JS Makhani with great responsibility and assiduity so as to contribute tangibly in forming acclaimed medical professionals.
